Macarons for My Sister

Sorry I have not been posting lately, I have been busy with homework and other family commitments. In early September 2014, it was my sisters' birthdays and I made Macarons. The difference between a Macaroon and a Macaron or French Macaroon is that a Macaroon is a small coconut cookie and a Macaron or French Macaroon is a sandwich cookie with those infamous feet around the bottom of each cookie. Here are the pictures of how I did it.

 Making my own Almond Flour/Meal

Adding raw slivered almonds into the blender.
Almonds after being ground.

Completed Almond Meal
Be careful not to over blend or use a food processor
for the almond flour. If you do, the almonds will
release their oils and form a paste instead of flour.

Making Caster Sugar (Superfine Sugar)

Putting normal Granulated Sugar in the food processor.
Completed Superfine Sugar.

Be sure to put more sugar than the recipe calls for,
into the processor because some sugar will completely
be ground to nothingness.
